God's MRI

Medical doctors rely on technology to evaluate and diagnose their patients. One such tool that is used is called an MRI. MRI stands for (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within the body. Since its invention it has revolutionized medicine by enabling doctors, scientists, and researchers to examine the inside of the human body in high detail using a non-invasive tool. MRI scans show us what may be wrong with us, but cannot heal us of any medical problem.

An MRI can look inside of us and see what is wrong. In the spiritual realm we have God’s MRI. Paul tells us that the Old Testament law reveals to us our sinfulness. In Rom. 3:19-20 we hear: “Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” God’s MRI reveals to us that we have a terminal condition. The disease of sin has spread to 100% of humanity and leads us all to spiritual death. The law shows us the problem. However God’s Word also shows us the solution. We need the medicine of righteousness. We need the righteousness of God since our own righteousness is futile in overcoming the disease of sin. God tells us that we can obtain His righteousness through simple faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. When we believe in Christ God accepts our faith and declares us righteous. We are justified, we are forgiven, we are redeemed and we are healed of our terminal disease.

Are you willing to allow God to show you your sinful condition through His MRI? The great physician has declared that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The cure is faith. Have you believed in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as your Savior?
