JimAndCheryl.jpg

Jim Reuter has been serving as the Minister of Music of Peace River Baptist Church since 2008, although he first came to PRBC in 2007 where he played the piano and led the choir as a volunteer. He and his wife Cheryl have two children and five grandchildren.  Prior to coming to Peace River Baptist Church, Jim & Cheryl had been involved in the music ministries of various churches in Port Charlotte since coming to Florida from the Buffalo NY area in 1975.

They were founding members of “HIS Four…Ministries”, a Southern Gospel Group that performed concerts all over the State of Florida as well as doing a few northern tours from 1990 to 2007.  They still perform many of the HIS FOUR… songs at PRBC using people from the choir to round out the group.  Their HIS FOUR… Ministries CD recordings are available at the church during the PRBC Winter Concert Series each year.

Jim started playing the piano at the age of 5 and took lessons until he was 17 doing lots of

church music over those years as his piano teachers were pastors' wives.  He has had the privilege of doing three Piano CD projects: “By Request,” an all Piano Christmas CD “Making Spirits Bright,”  and his most recent "Great is Thy Faithfulness." All are available at the church.

When not involved in the Music Ministry, you’ll see Jim on the Carmelita softball fields, watching his grandchildren play sports, or walking his standard poodle.
