Wild Turkeys at Magic Kingdom

It was a busy exhausting day entertaining the grandkids at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Thousands of people from all over the world gather here every day just to capture a little bit of the magic. I am always amazed at the amount of people that are packed into one place. However, it came time to go home. I have to admit that is my favorite time of the day. On the way out of the parking lot a saw something that I considered out of place. In one of the most densely populated places on earth I saw a flock of wild turkeys in the parking lot. No cage, no fence, just at least 8 wild turkeys on a grassy portion of the parking lot. I remember thinking how out of place these wild turkeys were in the Magic Kingdom.

God has a magic kingdom. It includes people from all over the world. People of all races, colors and languages. It is of course the Kingdom of God. In order to get into this magic kingdom you have to purchase a ticket. The ticket is faith in God’s Son Jesus Christ. Paul told us in Rom. 10:9,10: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. Entrance to the Kingdom of God is available to all but only those who are humble enough to realize they are a sinner can get in. We are like a flock of wild turkeys that are out of place. In our natural state we do not belong, we do not fit. But when we come to Jesus He forgives our sins and makes us righteous through our faith in Him (Rom. 4:5). We then enter into the Kingdom of God.

I am so glad that God allows wild turkeys like you and me into His Kingdom.
